Watering

You need to establish a watering schedule for your turf. When your instant lawn establishes its roots, you need to water it once or twice a week. A great routine is 10 minutes, three times a day in the morning, noon, or evening. We suggest watering more if temperatures throughout the day exceed 35 degrees celsius. Similarly, if it has been raining, you can limit the frequency of watering.

Fertilising

Fertilising is necessary to make your instant turf grow strong, healthy and beautiful. Make it a point to choose the right kind of fertiliser for your lawn. Depending on the type of grass, your lawn might require varying amounts of macronutrients so read the label carefully. The first number is always the nitrogen content (N), the second is always the phosphorus content (P), and the third is always the potassium content (K). Mowing

Your new lawn must be mowed between 7 to 14 days from installation. If you installed it in winter, mowing once a month is a great place to start. Depending on the variety and growth rate of your turf, you should mow every 7 to 10 days. Keep in mind to never remove more than one-third of the leaf at any given mowing. If your lawn has become excessively long, mow at the highest setting, gradually lowering mower height with each subsequent mowing. During warmer months, an increase in mowing height is recommended. Lastly, avoid mowing wet grass and keep your mower blades sharp.
